Dirks Rating: 5 out of 5. I personally credit – as many do – with author Daniel Galhardo for bringing the tenkara method of fly fishing for trout to the United States nearly 10 years ago. Although tenkara has been well-established as a highly effective method for catching trout for hundreds of years – it is still in its youthful but growing state here in America. Aside from my own book on tenkara, “Tenkara Fly Fishing” – Dan has written no doubt the best book on the market for those who are just starting in fly fishing via the tenkara method or for those traditional western anglers looking for more adventure in their fly fishing. My advice is to buy Dan’s book first – my book is for more mid-to-advanced tenkara anglers. Well written, illustrated and easy to consume!
